Preview. The OpenAI Compliance Logs integration is available in preview. Contact your Origin Technical Account Manager for assistance enabling and configuring this integration for your tenant.
Origin connects to OpenAI through the Enterprise Compliance Logs Platform. It pulls your workspace’s ChatGPT conversations, app/MCP calls, and Codex sessions directly from OpenAI and lands them in the same context graph as everything Origin observes on the endpoint.

What it adds

Origin’s agent already captures OpenAI activity where it runs on an instrumented endpoint — including the Codex CLI and ChatGPT Desktop (Chat, Work, and Codex surfaces). The Compliance Logs Platform covers the rest of the organization: ChatGPT conversations and app/MCP calls on endpoints that are not running the agent, plus Codex sessions run outside the endpoint. Both feed the same record of AI work. With the key in place, Origin pulls ChatGPT conversations, app and MCP calls, and Codex sessions. Each is attributed to the workspace member who ran it and threaded into the same traces, analytics, and inventory as the rest of your AI activity, so ChatGPT usage can be investigated alongside the endpoint record.

Before you start

Make sure you have the following before beginning setup:
  • Access to the OpenAI Enterprise Compliance Logs Platform — either a ChatGPT workspace or an API-Platform organization with Compliance Logs enabled.
  • Access to the OpenAI admin console, to locate your workspace or organization ID and create a Compliance Logs Platform key.
  • An Origin admin, who can save the key in the Origin dashboard.
  • Your Origin Technical Account Manager — reach out to them before starting. This integration is in preview, and they can confirm it’s enabled for your tenant and help walk through setup.

Setup

1

Find your workspace or organization ID

  1. Sign in to the OpenAI admin console.
  2. Locate your ChatGPT workspace ID, or, for an API-Platform organization, the org-... ID.
2

Create a Compliance Logs Platform key

  1. In the OpenAI admin console, create a Compliance Logs Platform key scoped to that workspace or organization.
  2. Copy the key immediately — OpenAI shows it only once, so store it somewhere safe before closing the dialog.
3

Save the key in Origin

  1. Sign in to the Origin dashboard as an admin.
  2. Open Admin → Data Sources → OpenAI Compliance Logs key.
  3. Paste your Workspace or organization ID and Compliance Logs Platform key into the corresponding fields.
  4. Click Save Key.
Origin stores the key encrypted and does not show it again. Once it is saved, the section reports the current sync status.

What to expect after connecting

Origin begins pulling data shortly after the key is saved. New ChatGPT, app/MCP, and Codex activity then flows continuously into your traces, analytics, and inventory alongside the endpoint record. No further setup is required.

Changing or removing the connection

  • Rotate the key: Create a new Compliance Logs Platform key in the OpenAI admin console, then replace the key in Origin.
  • Disconnect: Remove the key in Origin. New activity stops syncing; data already in Origin is unaffected.
  • Revoke access: Delete the key in the OpenAI admin console. This immediately stops all syncing.

Troubleshooting

What Origin accesses

Origin’s access is intentionally narrow and read-only:
  • Read access to the workspace or organization you configure: ChatGPT conversations, app/MCP calls, and Codex sessions.
  • No delete access, and no ability to change anything in your OpenAI workspace or organization.
  • The Compliance Logs Platform key is stored encrypted in Origin and is never shown again after you save it.
This integration is in preview. Behavior, field names, and setup steps may change — contact your Origin Technical Account Manager for the latest guidance and to confirm availability for your tenant.
