The Settings panel gives administrators full control over the Origin tenant configuration. Access it by clicking the sliders icon (⊟) in the far-left navigation strip.
Settings sections
Settings (Rules and integrations)
The top-level settings section shows your Identity (your access scope — typically covers the whole tenant) and Fleet configuration options:
Endpoint Configuration — agent settings that are pushed to every endpoint on the next agent heartbeat. Changes here apply fleet-wide automatically. Key options include:
- Hide system tray icon — suppresses the tray process and removes the auto-start entry on managed endpoints
- OTLP collector port — the loopback port the agent’s AI-telemetry collector binds to (default: 4318). Change this only if you have a corporate OTel collector on that port already.
Integrations — the Anthropic Compliance API key, which enables the AI Visibility feature and is required for prompt-level telemetry on Claude.
Endpoint Inventory
Per-endpoint detail configuration. This controls how Origin enriches endpoint records — what hardware metadata is captured, which fields are included in inventory snapshots, and how frequently inventory is refreshed.
User Management
Manage users and roles within your Origin tenant:
- Invite new administrators or read-only viewers
- Assign role-based access controls (RBAC)
- View and revoke active sessions
- Manage SSO configuration (if enabled)
Directory Integrations
Connect Origin to your identity provider to sync users, groups, group memberships, and device-to-user assignments:
- Entra ID (Azure AD) — available. Register an app, grant Microsoft Graph permissions, and connect from the dashboard. See Entra ID Setup.
- Okta — coming soon.
- Google Workspace — coming soon.
Directory integrations let you sync your org chart into Origin, enabling per-user activity attribution and group-level reporting. The Entra ID integration is also a prerequisite for Microsoft 365 Copilot capture.
Provisioning Tokens
Endpoint registration tokens are used during the Origin agent install to register a new endpoint with your tenant. From this section you can:
- Generate new provisioning tokens
- Set token expiry
- Revoke tokens that have been compromised
- View which endpoints were registered with which token
Skills
Upload and deploy .skill archives to managed endpoints. Skills extend the Origin agent’s capabilities on endpoint. From this section you can:
- Upload new
.skill archives
- See which skills are currently deployed to which endpoint groups
- Push skill updates or roll back to a previous version
- View skill usage metrics
See the Key Concepts page for more on what Skills are.
Installers
Download the Origin agent installer packages for:
- macOS (Universal binary, supports both Apple Silicon and Intel)
- Windows (MSI installer)
Installers are versioned. The installer page shows the current recommended version and links to the release notes.
Send Feedback
Report bugs, request features, or ask questions directly to the Origin team. Feedback submitted here is routed to the Origin engineering and product team.
Configuration changes in the Endpoint Configuration section propagate to endpoints on the next agent heartbeat, which occurs every few minutes by default. There is no need to reinstall or restart agents for most configuration changes.
